Free Summer 2014 One-to-One Tutoring Program
Once again, Everyone Reading will offer free, daily, one-to-one tutoring in foundational reading skills. Students who participate in the program will make significant gains in decoding and spelling.
The Everyone Reading Summer Tutoring Program will take placeMonday through Friday from July 8 through August 1, 2014.
Each selected student will have 50 minutes of one-to-one tutoring daily, using Wilson Language Program Level I materials and methodology. The Wilson Language Program is especially effective in improving decoding and spelling skills.
Enrolling in the Everyone Reading summer program requires a major commitment on the part of each student and the student’s parent or guardian. The program will take place at Everyone Reading, 71 West 23rdStreet- Suite 1527, New York, NY 10010. No transportation will be provided.

- Educational handbook filled with activities connecting classroom & baseball
- Lessons pertaining to Math, Science, English and History
- Apply lessons learned by watching live exhibition game “Evolution of the Game of Baseball” performed by the Atlantics Base Ball Club, showing 3 eras of baseball (1864/1873/1884)
- Plus 1 ticket to attend the July 7th Brooklyn Cyclones game at 7pm (Brooklyn Cyclones vs. Hudson Valley Renegades)

Greetings Fatherhood Buzz Colleagues:
I wanted to share some information about our next Fatherhood Buzz: Celebrating Fatherhood effort scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 14, 2014.
In honor of Father’s Day and in support of President’s Obama’s Fatherhood Initiative, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse (NRFC) will team up with over 250 community agencies and barbershops across the country to celebrate the millions of father’s who are actively engaged in the lives of their children and their friends.
Fatherhood Buzz is an outreach effort to promote responsible fatherhood and disseminate parenting information to fathers, families, and the community at-large via one of the most trusted community resources for men, barbershops. We’ll be holding a Fatherhood Buzz: Celebrating Fatherhood planning call on Wednesday, April 30th to share information about this upcoming event and ways to engage fathers in your communities, call in details are below. The call will be for both barbershops and community partners and will commence at 3 pm (EASTERN). Dial-in information for the call is below:

In 2004, stakeholders— including families, youth, providers, researchers, trainers, administrators and others— came together in a collaborative effort to better specify the wraparound practice model, compile specific strategies and tools, and disseminate information about how to implement wraparound in a way that can achieve positive outcomes for youth and families.
